CNN reports that according to a speculative paper released by the British government, one day robots will be intelligent enough to demand freedom from their human owners and will have to be treated as citizens. If not, the robots could sue for their rights

Wii Sets New Sales Record

As reported by The Age, the Nintendo Wii has become the fastest-selling games console in Australian history, a title formerly held by Microsoft's Xbox 360.

The Wii sold 32,901 units in the first four days beating the previous record of 30,421. The success of the Wii is attributed to its broad appeal as a family-oriented console

Microsoft Wants to Cash in on VoIP

The Australian IT reports that Microsoft has begun testing new software which will allow phone calls to be made through its Office applications.

Microsoft will begin by making the software available to 2500 businesses to test. Microsoft's push into the VoIP market will pit it against other companies like Cisco who are also seeking to cash in on the growing demand for VoIP.

The New York Times reports that at least two websites have been set up to show photos which purportedly show damage such as broken glass and TVs as a result of the Wii-Remote flying out of the users hands as they get over excited. The remotes do come with a wrist strap, however the websites claim they can come loose.

So kids, careful when using your new Wii OK
