Does Anyone Make Money Out of Spam?

The Age reports that there has been a few court cases won against spammers and they reveal that their annoying crime does pay.

In the US, Ryan Pitylak settled two civil lawsuits brought against him by the Texas attorney-general and Microsoft for more than $1.3 million last year after admitting he sent 25 million spam emails a day in 2004. Pitylak reportedly earned $4 to $9 each time he obtained the personal details of someone who responded to his emails, which were then sold to other companies

Microsoft Wants to Cash in on VoIP

The Australian IT reports that Microsoft has begun testing new software which will allow phone calls to be made through its Office applications.

Microsoft will begin by making the software available to 2500 businesses to test. Microsoft's push into the VoIP market will pit it against other companies like Cisco who are also seeking to cash in on the growing demand for VoIP.

Many of us are using the grammar tool of word to check our documents. The tool is helpful but has too many limitations, one of these limitations is that verb tenses in foreign languages are not well reviewed……Well Microsoft has developed a new technology that would allow a user to input an infinitive or non-infinitive form of a verb. When a user inputs a non-infinitive form of the verb, the software would identify the corresponding base form of the verb. It then would use that base to display the forms for the verb.

Have you ever thought about another way to label CDs or DVDs instead of the traditional sticky paper labels or markers?????, well there is another way…..Verbatim has developed a new technology that allow users to create a silkscreen quality label on the cover side of the disc. The technology called Lightscribe uses a special coating process on the label side of the disc that reacts chemically when a laser beam is applied to it.
