Latest card for online gamers
July 18th 2006 04:28
There is a new Network Interface Card from Bigfoot Networks, that is bringing serious advantage for users in online gaming. The new card involves the UltimatePing™ and MaxFPS technologies that allow you to lower the computer’s ping and increase your Frames per Second (FPS) while playing games online.
Another core technology developed by Bigfoot for this card is Latency and Lag Reduction (LLR), the technology enables your card to offload game networking tasks reducing the peaks formed by crowded areas in online games and allows the CPU to focus in loading the critical resources needed for those areas like the major cities and largest battlegrounds in World of Warcraft.
The drawback: using PCI or PCIe slots that are already scarce.
