The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Visa and Nokia have teamed up to provide a mobile phone payment system that will turn phones into wallets and allow consumers to buy items from stores without money or cards.

We should see mobile payment trials in Australia within the next 12 to 18 months. Paying for goods or services would be as easy as swiping your phone over a sensor

Say Hello to the iPhone

January 10th 2007 08:30
As reported by CNN Apple are releasing their new iPhone - a mobile phone that plays iTunes and surfs the web. The device will retail for between US $499 and $599 for the 4GB and 8GB versions.

The touchscreen device will also include functionality found in the iPod series of media players and run the OS X operating system (presumably streamlined for mobile devices with multi-touch screen implementation). It will come equipped with Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, as well as a 2.0-megapixel camera. It will be symmetrical both horizontally and vertically, for user 'tilting' to view screen in either position

Mobile friendly apparel

August 16th 2006 13:48

Nowadays, the development of portable technologies has triggered a new set of apparel that can cope with new necessities. For example Nike developed a running shoe that “talks” with your Ipod. But the thing that called my attention is the Jansport’s new range of bags focused on integration with the highly popular mobile technology. The bags and apparel look very practical to carry and use your mobile or Ipod, the bags and clothes have integrated buttons to command your portable devices without the mess of dealing with cables, pockets or zippers.

Nowadays you could find trendy phones with a lot of features and style as well….there is a mobile phone to match any kind of style……like jewellery they cost a lot, but unlike jewellery they don’t keep their value for a long time……..I will review the options very well before burning my money in one of the new gadgets that are being launched in association with recognized designers. For example the new MOTORAZR V3i DOLCE & GABBANA from Motorola looks very interesting…..well for the ones that look that style.

The market of Wireless networks is going to be boosted by the introduction of Intel new technology called WiMax. With this technology the owners of mobile devices will be able to share a wireless connection point because of a link up to a single-ended wireless point. WiMax has characteristics that allow a mobile device to behave as a router. Further development of WiMax over a 802.11d protocol is required but first steps are taking place for devices using Motorola and Intel’s 802.11d chips.
