A massive download speed of 20 Mb/sec is projected by T-Mobile in the UK, The technology that will make this possible in 2010 is called 3G LTE. The speed will be achieved with the aid of HSDPA, or the High-Speed Downlink Packet Access protocol.
The company strategy involves using HSDPA to improve the data transfer rates of its 3G service from the current 384kbps to 1.8Mbps in 2006, and then onto 20Mbps by 2010.
The optical technology for mobile applications doesn’t have limits……an Israeli company called Lumus has developed an optical imaging technology that will allow the development of ultra-compact displays for mobile devices. This technology is called Light-guide optical element (LOE), the technology enables a device to project the image in to the viewer’s eye..awsome…the image is displayed in the visual field of the viewer.
