Multimedia players finally leave the ground

The device features a 3.5-inch TFT with a 320x240 resolution for video and image viewing through WMV, Divx, JPG BMP and GIF formats. The MP-500 also has audio capabilities supporting through MP3, MPEG2, MPEG4 and WMA formats.


The user will be able to make comments in the case of pictures through a microphone that allows him to record the message. The MP-500 will hit the market at a price of US $440.

The storage capacity will be in the order of 20 gigas, that in these times is like the standard for this type of devices. The PMC7230 from Phillips also works with a HDD of 20 gigas. The PMC7230 can be bought for US $350.
