Toshiba’s HD DVD recorder

Sometimes the money is not a problem that is the case of the new HD-DVD recorder that Toshiba is launching in Japan. This new stage of the war between Toshiba with its HD-DVD and Sony with its Blu-ray technology is a breath for Toshiba since the launch of the popular game console PS3 that include a Blu-ray player.
The price of the recorder will be a $398.000 yen; the device will be available only in Japan initially.
Although Blu-ray recorders exist in the market from a couple of years now, the buzz about this recorder are the specs, 1-terabyte hard disk (130 hours), single-layer 15GB HD DVD-R,dual-layer 30GB HD DVD-R and DVD-R/RW/RAM recording. That’s not all, the user can connect via internet with Toshiba’s net for remote recording, isn’t that beautiful.
In Toshiba’s forecast are projected sales of 650.000 units approximately of HD DVD players world wide and 10.000 units of its new recorder by December this year just in Japan.
