Wireless Internet entertainment station from Sony
August 8th 2006 13:54
It seems that we are witnessing the creation of some sort of market niche in the entertainment internet capable devices……The new players until now are Sony and Nokia. Sony has launched a device called Mylo that is based on a wireless internet connection (802.11b). The main characteristics of this gadget are its performance on instant messaging and internet calling using Skype.
The Mylo has a 2.4 inch LCD and a QWERTY keyboard for thumb typing. The messging services supported are: the Google Talk™ instant messaging service, Skype and Yahoo! Messenger™. Don’t worry since Yahoo! Has compatibility with Microsoft messenger you will be able to reach all your contacts.
The gadget also features 1GB flash memory and a Memory Stick Duo™ slot, supporting MP3, ATRAC® or WMA formats. Also you can enjoy MPEG-4 videos and store JPEG pictures from the internet or a digital camera. The device will be available from US$350 in September.
In my opinion the internet table 770 from Nokia is a better option.
